imageWINE ENTHUSIAST U.S.A., November 2012 Our Malbec has been selected as one of the “Best of Year” by Wine Enthusiast

We are delighted to announce that our Kaiken Ultra Malbec is featured in Wine Enthusiast’s Best of Year 2012 Buying Guide!

Kaiken Ultra Malbec 2010, 92 Points: : “This is opaque, offering a lush collection of black fruit aromas on what amounts to a deep, dense bouquet. Layered anddisplaying excellent size and texture, it has saturated, meaty black-fruit flavors along with toasty, integrated oak. A powerhouse Malbec and maybe the best Ultra to date. T.G.I.C. Importers.-M.S.”

Panther Creek Freedom Hill 2006
2006 Panther Creek-Pinot Noir -Freedom Hill Vineyard
Robert Parker 91 points – “The 2006 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard was aged for 16 months in 30% new French oak. Dark ruby-colored, the enticing bouquet exhibits spice notes, pomegranate, and assorted black fruits. On the palate, earth notes and cola make an appearance. Nicely structured with good depth, concentration, and balance, it should evolve for 2-3 years and drink well through 2020.”
Wine Enthusiast 91 points – “Lovely scents of blue and black berries open into an excellent wine from this well-known vineyard. Cherry cola and molasses flesh out the mid palate flavors, and the fruit has a brambly quality that is almost like Zinfandel. Expressive and detailed.”
Stephen Tanzer 90 points – “Vivid red. Candied cherry and dark berries on the nose, with complicating floral and smoky mineral qualities adding complexity. Sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors are braced by tangy minerals and pick up a deeper cola note with air. Expands in the glass, gaining a spiciness that carries through the ripe, juicy finish. This would work well with Moroccan-spiced lamb or duck.”

  Ramspeck Pinot Noir

Ramspeck- Pinot Noir 08 – Napa Valley

  Torii Mor- Willamette Valley-
Pinot Noir -Black Label
Robert Parker 90 points – “Medium ruby-colored, it exhibits an expressive nose of rose petal, spice box, cherry, and raspberry. Easygoing on the palate while deftly concealing some ripe tannin, this outstanding value will provide pleasure over the next 6-8 years(through 2018).”
The palate is chock full of black cherry and raspberry fruit, with a spicy earthiness and a hint of graham cracker. The texture is rich and mouth-filling, but is supported by a nice framework- fresh acidity and a rich structure of tannin from the included whole-cluster fermentation lots. This wine finishes long, with juicy red & black berry notes, earthy mushroom, and a touch of toast. This wine will continue to fill out and become creamier with more cellaring.  Aged for 10 months in mostly French oak a few Hungarian oak barrels.
